Different types of block scheduling

The name of block scheduling is one of the types of academic scheduling system. Basically, the block scheduling of each classes are scheduled for longer period of time like 90 minutes. In general, the traditional schools schedules are consist of six to eight period of time. But the block schedule classes are made up of three and four longer periods a day. Today, the block scheduling classes are comes from different kind of types such as 4*4 block and even alternate-day schedule. The first type of 4*4 block scheduling system is very common method. Totally, 4*4 block can takes eight classes a year. The time of classes are ranging from 85 to 100 minutes. Second type of alternative-day schedule classes are takes by lengthy time periods rather than meeting every day for shorter periods.  The parallel plan and the intensive block are other formats of block scheduling. The advantages of block scheduling is students are exposed to a variety of instructional techniques, more time for student-teacher interaction and  teachers are able to use a variety of instructional techniques.
